Discovering MEATmission: A Burger Lover’s Haven in London

A Culinary Paradise

Living in London offers an abundance of dining choices, particularly when it comes to burgers. The city is a treasure trove of eateries, ensuring you’ll never have to revisit the same place twice—unless, of course, you find a gem worth returning to. One such gem is MEATmission, a must-visit spot for burger aficionados. Known for its generous portions, delectable flavors, and top-notch quality, MEATmission quickly earns its place on any foodie’s list.

Affordable Indulgence

At MEATmission, the menu is not only enticing but also wallet-friendly. Prices start at just £7.50 for buffalo wings, while their classic cheeseburger is priced at £8. For those craving something different, a chili dog comes in at £9. The selection of sides is equally appealing, ranging from crispy onion rings to deep-fried mac ‘n’ cheese, all priced between £3.50 and £5.50. If you’re feeling a touch virtuous, there’s even a refreshing Greek salad on offer.

An Irresistible Offer

Recently, I stumbled upon an exciting press release that announced a special ‘one night only’ promotion: a burger, fries, and MEATliquor House Grog for only £10! With January often feeling tight on the budget—thanks to the festive excess—I was more than ready to indulge. I even managed to convince my health-conscious friend, Antonia, to join me for a burger adventure in East London.

Navigating Friendships in a Busy City

Despite living in the same city as my friends, it can be surprisingly challenging to meet up regularly. In fact, I often see my blogger friend Mat from Buckets and Spades more frequently than some of my London pals, and he travels all the way from Blackpool! The hustle and bustle of city life makes it easy to lose touch, but when you do find the time, a meal at a great restaurant like MEATmission is the perfect way to reconnect.

Our Delicious Order

Here’s what we indulged in from the MEATmission menu:

To Eat:

  • 1 x Cheeseburger
  • 1 x Bacon Cheeseburger
  • 1 x Slaw (to share)
  • 1 x Fries (to share)

To Drink:

  • 1 x St Lawrence Cocktail: A delightful mix of Woodford rye, maple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and a dash of bitters, garnished with an orange twist (£8).
  • 1 x House Grog (limited to two per person): A potent blend of light and dark rums, overproof rum, and a secret mix, served long (£8.50).
  • 1 x Juice

MEATmission also boasts an impressive drinks menu, featuring a variety of shots, sharing cocktails, milkshakes, floats, and an array of draught beers and ciders. Not to mention their unique concoction of Jägermeister and beer, dubbed Deer + Beer! If the House Grog doesn’t do you in, this might just be your next adventure.

A Fond Farewell

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing numerous burger joints throughout London. If you have any recommendations for new places to try, please share! I’m always on the lookout for the next big flavor sensation.

A heartfelt thank you to MEATmission for inviting us to indulge in their delicious offerings and for the opportunity to capture some mouthwatering content for the blog. Dining here is always a delight, and I can’t wait to return for more burger bliss!
